1.0 Official Mandate
The Commission on Educational Policy is a strategic body established by the Civic Clarity Foundation. Its mandate is to evaluate current pedagogical standards and governance structures to ensure the educational system in Ontario and Canada is resilient, equitable, and prepared for the rapid shifts in technology and global labor markets.

2.0 Core Objectives
• Future-Proofing: To analyze the impact of emerging technologies (AI/Automation) on student learning outcomes.
• Curriculum Innovation: To identify and recommend updates to provincial curricula that emphasize critical thinking, digital literacy, and civic engagement.
• Community Engagement: To act as the central hub for conversation, bringing together educators, students, and families to ensure the Commission's work remains grounded in lived experience.

3.0 Membership & Structure
• Composition: The Commission will be composed of a diverse group of 15-20 members, including professional educators, school board administrators, academic researchers, elected officials (in an advisory capacity), and a significant and meaningful majority representation of youth (minimum 70% of total membership).
• Leadership: The commission will be chaired by a director of the Civic Clarity Foundation with a co-chair elected by the commission itself who will be responsible for the day-to-day activities.

4.0 Term Length & Commitment
• Term Length: Commission Members are appointed for an inaugural term of twelve (12) months, with renewal based on agreement between the leadership of the Commission and Foundation. Time Commitment: The expected commitment is approximately 2.5 hours, bi-monthly.

5.0 Roles & Responsibilities of Members
Members are tasked with reviewing current educational data, drafting policy briefs for government stakeholders, and facilitating town halls with parent-teacher associations to ensure community-aligned recommendations.
